OOC: Is this what happens when you go back on an old RP blog after months of being gone?  Everything gets lost and confused?

“Ah, well, I heard wind that my father turned a car into a human,” Ruby spoke, taking note of Jo’s glance, “And if I hope to find him, I suppose I should follow his footsteps.”

Ruby took a step closer to the hunter, “I thought you would understand the love for a father.”

It was a low blow, and Ruby knew it, but demons weren’t known for their charity.  She needed to find Lucifer, she needed praise direction from her father, and she needed to know what this power hungry angel had been doing.  She may be a demon, but the real God didn’t interfere with their business.  He was out of the way, and she liked it that way.  Castiel would stop at nothing to obliterate everything that stood in his way.  Ruby wouldn’t stand for that.

But Lucifer came first.

Jo was on her feet in seconds. Her chair clattered to the ground and her hands fisted at her sides.

“I don’t have to put up with vile demons like you. You’re sticking up the bar,” Jo hissed, taking a prowling step towards Ruby. Apparently she was more worried than she thought since the nervous tension was making her antsy.

Ruby raised an eyebrow, “If you didn’t want me here then you would have already shot me.  The gun’s under the bar, not too far out of your reach.  You could have easily gotten it within seconds.”

Ruby placed her hands on the beam, walking around it slowly.

“You do know that Michael and Lucifer are out, yes?” she started, “With Michael cleaning up heaven and Lucifer forgiven, I’m certain the world would be…. less chaotic, wouldn’t you agree?  The two most powerful archangels working together, not even Castiel could stand up to them.  And do you know who’s bright idea it was to break them out?  Mine.  Yet time has gone on and Castiel is still treating the world as his sandpit.  Don’t you want to stop him?” -she walked towards Jo- “So, as you can see, we have a common enemy.  Castiel.  For now, we want the same thing.  So help me find my father.  Once Castiel has renounced his claim on the souls, then you can chase me all you want with your little salt gun.”

Jo’s eyes shot between Ruby and the bar, then back at the Impala.

“Castiel is basically God now. I don’t know how you’re planning on stopping him. You’re just a demon. I’m just a hunter.” Jo gnawed on her bottom lip. “Besides this is Castiel. What if he gets hurt? I can’t let him get hurt…”

The Impala watched the demon closely, but didn’t know what to do. When you’re a car, it’s hard to get involved.

But she couldn’t just let Jo deal with this on her own when Ruby had the clear advantage. Protecting was kinda her job.

She moved towards the bar, hoping Jo would keep Ruby distracted and that she could get to the gun in time.

“I’m sorry sweetheart,” Ruby said, “But Castiel isn’t the angel you know anymore.  I may not know how to stop him, but I think we could come up with something if we worked together.  It’s how we opened the pit, it’s how we can defeat Castiel.”

Ruby glanced over to the other woman, moving across the floor.

“You seem… familiar,” Ruby said, “Have we met?”

She’d stopped paying attention to the conversation, until there are eyes on her and she feels it. Impala glares at the demon, her plan to try and help Jo ruined. She leans on the bar like doing it was the plan all along.

“Well, not ‘in the flesh,’ as they say.” she says with the tiniest of smirks.

Jo shook the shock of her, now as not the time to be worried. Standing face to face with a demon was not a time to be distracted.

“Ruby, meet the Impala,” she said. “Your ‘father’ decided to make her human for whatever reason.” Jo had to draw the attention away from Pala. “So tell me again why you’re here.

“Pleasure,” Ruby nodded her head at the now human Impala, “I told you, I want to find Lucifer, find Michael.  I want to do something!  I can’t just sit here and let Castiel do whatever he wants with his new powers.  Once he’s done with heaven and Raphael, what do you think he’s going to do?  Leave us to our own free will?  No, he’s going to command us, he’s going to be a tyrant.  Tell me, do you want an angry Castiel on your hands?  With those powers?”

Jo grinned at her. “They’re the Winchesters. They’ve faced demons, angels, Death, they can handle whatever the world tries to throw at them. I’m sure they’re fine. But I get what you mean. It’s hard not to worry about them.” She worried her bottom lip between her teeth.

Pala smiled back. “You’re right Jo. I shouldn’t worry so much after all they’ve been through.” She looked around the room a little. “So, what do we do now?”

Ruby materialized in the Roadhouse.  Quaint, for certain, but if she was going to find anyone then it would be here.  Sure enough Jo and another woman were sitting at a table.

“Hi girls,” she greeted, leaning against a nearby post, “And what are we up to here?”

Jo jumped when Ruby appeared, her eyes flashing to the bar where she kept her shortgun.

“Ruby,” she said slowly. “This is a surprise. Demons don’t normally venture into the Roadhouse… unless they have a death wish.”

“Ah, well, I heard wind that my father turned a car into a human,” Ruby spoke, taking note of Jo’s glance, “And if I hope to find him, I suppose I should follow his footsteps.”

The Impala sits in the empty Roadhouse, at a dusty table in the corner, tracing lazy circles with her fingers. She’s not sure how to feel about what she almost just did, most of it is a blur in her mind.

It’s so quiet.

She usually likes quiet, or at least doesn’t mind it. All those nights on the road with Dean and Sam asleep in her front seats, or in a motel room, leaving her all the time in the world to think in the silence and darkness.

Now, though, it just makes her restless. Too many feelings in this body, more than the need to love and protect the boys. She needs to get up and do something.

Jo walked out of the back room and saw Pala sitting at a table. She walked over to the girl and sat across from her.

“What are you thinking about?” she asked, propping her chin in her hand.

Pala hears Jo, and looks up with a smile as the girl sits down with her.

“I’ve got a lot on my mind, honey. You don’t wanna hear it.” she laughs a little, and then sighs. “Mostly, I just want to know if my boys are alright. I don’t like going this long without seeing them, and they’re always in some kind of trouble. Even when we were living with Lisa, Dean came out to the garage all the time.”

Jo grinned at her. “They’re the Winchesters. They’ve faced demons, angels, Death, they can handle whatever the world tries to throw at them. I’m sure they’re fine. But I get what you mean. It’s hard not to worry about them.” She worried her bottom lip between her teeth.

OOC: I was gone from the 19th until just now. Care to catch me up on things?

((ooc: I’m pretty great at jumping into the middle of things and I’m tempted to charge into Sam and Lucifer’s meeting [since I have nothing else to do] thoughts?))

I’ve been around angels and humans for far too long… time to find some of my own.

What Castiel has done is frankly inspiring but must be stopped, and all that jazz.

You have a better suggestion, Ruby? Because as far as I’m concerned, we don’t have nearly enough manpower to take on an angel-gone-god.

Okay, okay!  We’ll go find Sam and Dean.  If we get shot I’m blaming you.

I’m looking forward to seeing Sam.

Aren’t we all…. I assume Dean will be with him, as usual?

Those two are joined at the hip, why wouldn’t Dean be with his brother?
